Three bases in Fujian province targeting the transformation and upgrading of foreign trade were recently ranked national level by the Ministry of Commerce among 65 such titles domestically. 

The three newly included bases are one in Fuan city focused on motor elements, one in Shishi city related to textiles and garments, and one in Siming district of Xiamen focused on health and rehabilitation apparatus. 

Thus far, Fujian has a total of 18 national bases, ranking fifth in China. 

The national bases for the transformation and upgrading of foreign trade are industrial clusters integrating manufacturing and exports. They work as an important platform to sharpen advantages in emerging export fields like information, marketing, brand-building, technology, quality control, standard setting and services. Both the central and local governments have offered support to these bases.
