2019 CIFIT to set up venue in Huli district

The 2019 China International Fair for Investment and Trade, or CIFIT, will establish a tea industry expo in the Xiamen district of Huli in eastern Fujian province, local media reported on Sept 3.

The 2019 China (Xiamen) International Tea Industry Investment and Trade Expo, which is to run in the Huli venue on Sept 6-10, will have 550 stands and cover 12,000 square meters of exhibition area.

Organizers said the tea industry expo has attracted tea traders from Henan, Fujian, Guizhou Yunnan, Taiwan, South Korea and Vietnam.

During the expo, a series of activities will be held, including a seminar to discuss the development trends of the industry in China and an awards ceremony for companies contributing to the promotion of cross-Straits business in the tea industry.

The expo will be free to local residents.

Meanwhile, the 2019 CIFIT is to be held in Xiamen on Sept 8-11. It will highlight the Belt and Road Initiative by organizing more than 10 related forums to promote the construction of a green, prosperous, and peaceful Silk Road.

To date, roughly 600 delegations have confirmed their attendance at the 2019 CIFIT, including the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and a further 3,000 companies, including over 100 multinational corporations and Fortune 500 firms, will attend the event.
