A delegation from Penang in Malaysia concluded a three-day visit to Xiamen to attract more investment at the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) in the coastal city of Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, on Sept 10.

The 12-member delegation, led by Hwang Thean Long, deputy president of the Penang Xiamen Friendship Association, set up a booth at CIFIT to promote distinctive products from Penang, such as its renowned sesame oil brand, Ghee Hiang, and real estate projects.

Su Wenjie, deputy secretary general of the association, said that Xiamen and Penang have shared a close relationship in terms of culture, education, tourism, economy, and trade since they established sister city ties in 1993.

In addition, the delegation also visited domestic and foreign booths at CIFIT, showing strong interest particularly in the high-tech and intelligent products.
