In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the seventh Xiamen Overseas Chinese Party was held in Jimei district, Xiamen, Southeast China's Fujian province on Sept 28.

A wide range of activities, including a photography exhibition, lantern riddles, folk performances, and martial arts shows were staged at the party, with more than 500 overseas Chinese attending.

The photography exhibition showcased Xiamen's achievements in various sectors over the past 70 years. The exhibition offered the perfect opportunity for people to learn more about the country's development and history and promote national pride.

Deng Biao, vice chairman of the Xiamen federation of returned overseas Chinese, said that the federation will continue to function as a bridge between overseas Chinese inside and outside the country, and make contributions to the sustainable socio-economic development of Xiamen.
