Four exhibitions showcasing Buddhist products – such as tea leaves, packaging designs, vegetables and organic products – will welcome visitors to the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center on Oct 10-14.

The 14th China Xiamen International Buddhist Items and Crafts Fair (Autumn Edition) – featuring 6,500 stands in its 115,000-square-meter exhibition area – will display all kinds of Buddhist products and activities.

They will be showcased by 1,200 companies from Japan, South Korea, Australia, Canada and Malaysia, the organizers said.

They said that this fair will also offer many different incenses and various exquisite incense burners and candlesticks.

During the fair, many cultural figures have been invited to share their stories, including Chinese archaeologist Fan Jinshi.

Fan is an archaeologist who has devoted herself to research and study in Dunhuang, in Northwest China's Gansu province. Her story as an explorer and a guardian of Dunhuang's cultural relics will be told on Oct 10.

Another exhibition is the Xiamen International Tea Expo (Autumn Edition). Marking its 10th anniversary, this year's expo features 3,800 stalls in its 75,000 sq m exhibition area.

The expo is made up of five different specialist areas. These will display various teas, tea sets, packages for tea and other tea-related products from Taiwan province and other countries. Some 150 companies from Taiwan will bring their quality tea and teapots there.

The organizers said visitors can enjoy all the exhibitions free of charge with their identification cards.
