The western split-off of the Xingye Expressway's northern section, which connects the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone and Xiangzhou, is expected to begin trial operation by the end of this year.

The whole project is divided into four parts, namely the northern section, southern section, Yingbin Road's feeder line, and the southern extension. Its total length is approximately 28.3 kilometers.

The northern junction's eastern split-off starts at Tangle Road and passes under Sun Yat-sen University. The western split-off starts at Hagongda Road and crosses over Jintang East Road.

Stretching 17.1 km, the northern section of the project has two split-offs and six tunnels, all of which were drilled in 2022.

The northern section has now been fully connected and all asphalt paving, signage, and wall panel installation work has been completed. Construction on ancillary facilities such as wind wells, air ducts, traffic, and surveillance equipment is currently underway.

The Xingye Expressway is an important transportation project in Zhuhai. It connects to the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link, the Gaoxin Interchange, the Jinqin Expressway, and even the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge via Jiuzhou Avenue and Lovers Avenue.
