The final deliberations and award ceremony of Xiangzhou's 10th University Student Entrepreneurship Competition was held on Oct 31 at the Zhuhai High-skilled Talents Training Center.

The competition aimed to promote innovation and entrepreneurship by stimulating the entrepreneurial enthusiasm of university students in Zhuhai, Hong Kong and Macao. 

It also aimed to discover and cultivate excellent entrepreneurial projects and resources, accelerate the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and attract outstanding entrepreneurial teams and talents to settle in Xiangzhou.

Since the competition started on Aug 31, the organizing committee has conducted online and offline promotional activities at 19 universities. The competition has received extensive attention from all sectors of society as well as active responses from young entrepreneurs. 

Within just one month, the competition attracted 316 project registrations, with the number of projects from Hong Kong and Macao reaching a historical high of 51.

Among the 316 participating teams, 20 teams stood out and entered the final round. These teams came from universities such as Tsinghua University, Sun Yat-sen University, City University of Hong Kong, and the University of Macao.

The projects in this year's competition covered many industrial fields, including new materials, artificial intelligence, medical health, the metaverse, digital creativity, rural vitalization and intangible cultural heritage. Compared with previous competitions, the overall characteristics of this competition are stronger in technological innovation, have more mature business models, and have better marketization and landing estimations.

The competition not only offered generous monetary prizes, but also provided a package of services for the top six teams. This package included three years of rent-free settlement in Xiangzhou's University Student Entrepreneurship Incubation Base, full-process entrepreneurship incubation services, publicity and promotion services, and investment and financing docking.
