The number of vehicles entering and exiting the Zhuhai Port of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge reached 29,000 from Dec 23 to 24, with 200,000 passengers, setting a new record for the highest weekend traffic volume this year.

Among them, more than 18,000 single-plate vehicles from Hong Kong and Macao headed north, setting a new weekend high since the policies for Hong Kong and Macao vehicles heading north, which has become the main driving force behind the rapid growth of vehicle traffic at the port.

Starting from Nov 1, the one-stop inspection system for port vehicles no longer verifies the health declaration QR code. The average time for passenger vehicles to go through the port has been reduced to less than 60 seconds from the previous 90 seconds, improving the efficiency of the port's handling capacity and making it more convenient for Hong Kong and Macao residents to travel to the Chinese mainland.
