The construction of the third access road connecting the artificial island of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZM Bridge) Zhuhai Port to Xiangzhou district is set to begin soon.

Located in Gongbei Bay, Xiangzhou district, Zhuhai, this project plays a fundamental role in linking up local traffic and utilities pipelines, which is set to improve the traffic of the artificial island and Gongbei.

It is set to start from the intersection of Changsheng Road and Qinglv NanluQinglv South Road and end at the artificial island in the form of a bridge. It is set to be parallel to the HZM Bridge Connection Line.

The project is set to span a total length of about 2.22 kilometers, and its bridge is to be about 2.06 kilometers long.

Upon completion, the new access road is set to contribute to reducing the traffic pressure caused by vehicles heading north from Hong Kong and Macao. Besides, the road is set to cater to the increasing traffic demands of the HZM Bridge.
