Zhuhai's Xiangzhou district government and the Zhuhai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission held a forum on smart sensing technology driving innovative development in the ocean economy on April 26 at the Zhuhai International Air Show Center.

Over 500 participants gathered to discuss the development of the ocean economy. At the forum, Xiangzhou district signed agreements to advance six innovative projects, focusing on developing the ocean sensing technology industry to support Zhuhai's goal of becoming a regional ocean center city.

In recent years, Xiangzhou district has accelerated the layout of new quality productive forces. The district has emphasized the growth of emerging industries such as intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, optoelectronics, and the ocean economy. As a result, Xiangzhou has attracted over 10 leading companies that specialize in ocean sensing technology.

Looking ahead, Xiangzhou intends to concentrate on the field of ocean sensing, extending and refining the industrial chain, intensifying efforts to attract and cultivate high-quality projects, and providing more demonstration space for ocean sensing technology.

Additionally, State-owned enterprises in Zhuhai are effectively propelling the high-quality development of the city's ocean economy through resource integration, technology and talent import, and overseas expansion.
