The Xiangzhou North Central Innovation Zone, established in the 1990s and formerly known as the Xiangzhou North Industrial Zone, is undergoing significant redevelopment to foster industrial transformation and urban renewal.

Supported by the Xiangzhou district government, Gree Group and Zhengfang Group have formed Zhuhai Zhengfang Xingge Urban Renewal Ltd to spearhead the efforts. The project aims to renovate the area by integrating industrial and urban development, enhancing the region's economic and social vitality.

Recent progress includes the approval of the Phase II land use plan and the completion of over 35,000 square meters of demolitions. As of mid-October, the project has achieved a signing rate of nearly 70 percent, with over 150,000 sq m of buildings already demolished.

The project spans 1.79 million sq m and will see the creation of new industries such as research and development, creative design, and pollution-free production. The first phase will include high-quality residential areas, while the second phase will focus on new industries, administrative offices, and educational facilities.

The project is set to become Zhuhai's largest-ever urban renewal project, creating approximately 80,000 new jobs, greatly enhancing the city's livability and economic prospects, and modernizing the urban landscape.
