The 19th China International Photographic Art Exhibition, a highly anticipated event, opened on Nov 2 at the Gu Yuan Museum of Art in Zhuhai.
Organized by the China Photographers Association, Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the Zhuhai Municipal Government, the exhibition is scheduled to run until Feb 16, 2025.
Prominent figures such as Xu Yongjun, vice chairman of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Li Ge, chairman of the China Photographers Association, attended the opening ceremony. The exhibition aims to foster international exchange and showcase the talents of photographers worldwide.
Zhuhai's hosting of this prestigious event underscores the city's commitment to cultural development and international collaboration. The exhibition features a diverse range of works from 123 countries, with over 160,000 submissions from more than 20,000 photographers. After rigorous selection by 18 experts, 276 pieces were chosen for display.
In addition to the main exhibition, the event includes special sections highlighting the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic relations and the cultural heritage of countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative like Iran. Parallel exhibitions, such as "Charming Bay Area: The Beauty of Light and Shadow" and "Rural Vitalization in Guangdong", are also being held across various venues in Zhuhai.
