Xiangzhou district held a high-quality development conference on Feb 6, following the high-quality development conferences held by Guangdong province and Zhuhai city.

The meeting emphasized Xiangzhou's strategic advantages, including its prime location, robust economic growth, comprehensive facilities, and favorable ecological environment.

The district's gross regional product has surged from 120 million yuan ($16.47 million) at its inception to the recent 200 billion yuan, contributing significantly to Zhuhai's economy.

To drive high-quality development, Xiangzhou district will focus on five key areas: building a modern industrial system, cultivating new productive forces, advancing key project construction, expanding industrial space, and enhancing corporate service levels.

During the conference, agreements were signed with several key projects, including VTR Biotech and ZF Friedrichshafen.

In the first quarter, Xiangzhou district plans to sign agreements for 43 industrial projects, with a total investment of 12.83 billion yuan.

For 2025, Xiangzhou district aims to achieve a strong start with a 6 percent increase in GDP and a 7 percent increase in the value-added of industrial enterprises above the designated size.
