The mayor of Zhuhai, in South China's Guangdong province, said the city will leverage its favorable location and strong technological ecosystem to accelerate the development of the low-altitude economy — a wide-ranging industry revolving around manned and unmanned civil aviation vehicles operating below an altitude of 1,000 meters.
On Feb 27, the inaugural flight ceremony for the eVTOL air traffic route took place in Zhuhai. The Shengshilong, a 5-seater compound-wing electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, simulated a family's journey, flying between Zhuhai's Jiuzhou Port and Shenzhen's Shekou Port.
Song Weiliang, chairman of Xiangzhou-based Zhuhai Fuhong Technology, began to pay attention to environmental monitoring issues, especially the problem of unauthorized emission of foul-smelling gases in certain areas, a decade ago.
