Guancheng district, which has witnessed a century of urban development and commercial evolution in Zhengzhou, is a significant testament to the city's status as one of China's eight ancient capitals.
In 2025, the zone will comprehensively implement a special action plan to boost consumption, with efforts from both supply and demand sides to promote the expansion and enhancement of consumption.
To diversify the dining experience, the zone will leverage its unique food charm, incorporate various specialty snacks in snack streets, and introduce more diverse new dining options.
The zone will accelerate the upgrading of existing hotels, introduce renowned guest houses, and cater to the distinct needs of different groups to improve the quality of accommodation.
The zone will also create travel scenes by further improving the tourism facilities and services in Guancheng's historical and cultural areas, effectively utilizing the 240-hour visa-free transit policy, and developing personalized tourism products such as inbound tourism and study tours.
To stimulate shopping demand, the zone will attract high-quality e-commerce platforms and service institutions, cultivate more leading enterprises, and establish several city-level distinctive live-streaming e-commerce centers, thereby enhancing Guancheng's appeal and attraction.
Additionally, the zone will accelerate the iterative upgrades to existing shopping malls, enriching events such as comic book conventions, and other series of activities to close the entertainment gap. Cultural and historical venues, historic districts, public cultural spaces, and other resources will be integrated to create a hub for new experiences and lifestyles.
