In recent years, Zhengzhou has focused on its development into a national central city and laid the groundwork to become an international consumption center city.

Zhengzhou, the national central and core city in Central China, boasts a population of tens of millions, indicating immense consumer potential. Simultaneously, Zhengzhou enjoys clear advantages in terms of location and transportation, being the only airport-based national logistics hub in China.

According to Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the city is implementing various measures to develop into an international consumption center city. Zhengzhou has already established three national-level and four provincial-level commercial streets.

To expand consumption scenarios, the city has mapped out the top 30 enterprises in sectors like clothing, health, and leisure, integrating them into the commercial streets.

In addition, Zhengzhou has developed seven tourism themes such as cultural Zhengzhou and tasty Zhengzhou as well as specialized short-distance and cost-effective tourism routes for students during the summer vacation.

To improve culture and sports consumption, Zhengzhou has hosted numerous major sports and events, including the 2nd Comedy Week.

Looking ahead, Zhengzhou will benchmark against evaluation criteria for international consumption center cities, focusing on improving supporting policies and revitalizing traditional streets to accelerate the development of the international consumption center city.
