Top political adviser stresses uniting wisdom, force of united front members

BEIJING -- China's top political adviser Wang Yang on Thursday stressed implementing decisions and plans of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee on the united front and uniting the wisdom and force of the united front members.

Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, made the remarks at a meeting for heads of united front work departments across the country.

Hailing achievements made by the united front circles in 2019, he underscored giving full play to the strengths of the united front as a system and contributing to advancing the modernization of China's system and capacity for governance.

Wang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, called for accumulating forces for building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and further carrying out targeted poverty relief measures.

He also stressed efforts to promote ethnic solidarity and harmony among religions.
