China's top political adviser meets Swiss National Council president

BEIJING -- China's top political adviser Wang Yang and President of the Swiss National Council Isabelle Moret held a meeting Thursday in Beijing on further cooperation and development of bilateral ties.

Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said the two countries, which forged diplomatic relations 70 years ago, should continue to uphold the principle of equity, mutual respect, innovation, cooperation and win-win results, and inject new impetus to China-Switzerland relations.

The CPPCC National Committee is ready to facilitate friendly exchanges with people from all walks of life in Switzerland, Wang said.

Moret said Switzerland will also work with China to deepen pragmatic cooperation in various fields and promote mutual understanding and friendly ties between the two peoples.
