Xindu Community in Yangshan town is home to 30 hectares of fields with peach trees and seven natural villages.

Miaodun village, a natural village in Xindu Community, was listed as a cultural relic control and protection area in September 2016, with various remnants of stone axes and hard pottery discovered under the ground there.

Yanjiaqiao village in Yangjian town was approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Government as part of the fourth batch of provincial historical and cultural villages in 2009.

The village not only boasts beautiful views as an ancient water town in Jiangnan area (a region on the southern bank of the lower Yangtze River), but is also known as the birthplace of Wuxi opera.
