The 2025 Global Spotlight on Jiangsu's Vibrancy cross-media event kicked off in Huishan district, Wuxi, on Sept 8. This week-long journey will extend beyond Wuxi to Changzhou and Xuzhou, uncovering Jiangsu's millennium-old cultural heritage and its contemporary energy.

‌The event invited 10 international influencers from countries such as France, Spain, and Italy. Covering travel, food, music, and culture, they collectively boast over 3 million followers on overseas social media platforms.

At the opening ceremony, participants immersed themselves in the charm of the local culture, engaging in activities such as experiencing the dragon dancing and practicing poses from Xiju Opera.

French music blogger Martin Bénech captivated the audience with a medley of Chinese songs. As a musician well-versed in Chinese culture, he blends French musical styles with Chinese pop music, creating cross-cultural content to foster artistic exchange. Since joining China's social media earlier this year, he has produced multiple original Chinese songs.

"I'm eager to explore Wuxi's profound traditional architecture, classical gardens, and futuristic tech pavilions. I can't wait to share the city's harmonious blend of ancient and modern beauty with my fans," Bénech said.

Post-ceremony activities included calligraphy practice and hands-on experiences like grinding soybeans to make fresh soy milk and making dumplings.

The influencers' journey in Wuxi spans three days. In the following two days, they will visit Miracle Automation Co for intelligent robot experiencing, wander through classical splendor in Huishan Ancient Town, and conclude their Wuxi itinerary amid the luminous nightscape of Nianhuawan Bay.
