A group of 25 travel agents from countries and regions such as Austria, Switzerland, and Sri Lanka were recently invited to Wuxi, Jiangsu province, for a two-day tour aimed at expanding Wuxi's inbound tourism market.

The travel agents' first stop was the Three Kingdoms and Water Margin Theme Park, where they toured classic filming locations like the Bronze Sparrow Terrace and the Juyi Hall, and watched equestrian performances.

Strolling through the ancient streets of Huishan Ancient Town, the agents were captivated by the bustling atmosphere. They sampled local specialties like xiaolongbao, or steamed stuffed buns, and admired demonstrations of intangible cultural heritage crafts, such as Huishan clay figurines and Wuxi embroidery.

At the Wuxi Museum, the group viewed precious cultural relics up close, and at the Former Residence of Xue Fucheng, they lingered among the exquisite architecture and were particularly taken with themed cultural and creative products.

During the two-day tour, the international travel agents experienced Wuxi's local culture, natural landscapes, and distinctive cuisine firsthand, praising the city's tourism resources and service quality.

A representative from a Sri Lankan travel agency said, "Wuxi's history not only embodies the gentle charm of Jiangnan's water towns but also the legendary development of industry and commerce. These unique cultural intellectual properties have strong international appeal."

Since the beginning of this year, Wuxi has been cultivating the inbound tourism market by developing international tourism products, optimizing multilingual services, and building cross-border cooperation platforms to enhance its international influence.

The city plans to optimize its inbound tourism product offerings by introducing more cultural experiences and eco-leisure-themed routes that meet international tourists' needs.
