Recently, 140 commercial vehicles from SAIC's Ningde factory were successfully delivered to Xiamen Gaoqi Railway Station for the first time, reaching the Modern Terminal in the Xiamen Free Trade Zone.
This not only marks the successful first shipment of the Ningde-Xiamen Gaoqi sea-rail intermodal commercial vehicle project but also the successful connection of the Modern Terminal commercial vehicle export business to the "sea-rail intermodal" last mile.
This successful implementation is a significant step for the Xiamen Modern Terminal in deepening cooperation with the Fuzhou Railway Logistics Center and Xiamen Gaoqi Railway Station, thereby opening up the logistics channel for domestic commercial vehicle exports.
The commercial vehicle logistics channel at the Modern Terminal will lead to reduced logistics costs and decreased cargo damage for commercial vehicle exports.
This development will also extend the supply of commercial vehicles to surrounding and neighboring provinces, further expanding the hinterland of commercial vehicle sources and driving the coordinated development of the surrounding regional economy.
Simultaneously, railway transportation, with its advantages of high capacity, low energy consumption, and environmental friendliness, plays a crucial role in the transportation of commercial vehicles, contributes to the achievement of the dual carbon goals, and actively supports the development of a green and ecological Xiamen Port.
