The Xiamen-Clark all-cargo freighter departed from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport on Dec 4, transporting nearly 18 metric tons of cross-border e-commerce cargo to the Philippines, who involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

It marks that more made-in-Xiamen products will be fast-tracked to the market in Southeast Asia in the future.

The freighter, operated by Shandong Airlines, will transport cross-border e-commerce bestsellers once per week, including clothing, shoes, and accessories from the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, and Fujian province.

Shandong Arlines will gradually add flights according to the market trend. The Xiamen-Clark flight has not only further expanded the cargo flight channels between Xiamen and ASEAN countries, but also created a more convenient and efficient path for e-commerce and time-sensitive manufacturing enterprises.

With this new flight, Xiamen Airport now operates a total of 43 cargo flights, reaching 24 countries and regions. Among the flights, 14 are passenger flights and six are cargo flights, reaching 14 countries involved in the BRI, including Malaysia and Qatar.
