The 6th China (Xiamen) International Cross-Border E-commerce Expo took place from June 8 to 10 at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center. With over 50,000 square meters of exhibition space and 1,500 booths, the expo gathered over 30 industrial clusters and nearly 1,000 factories from China, drawing buyers from 20 countries and regions for sourcing and networking.
As one of China's first movers in cross-border e-commerce, Fujian has a strong industrial and trade base. Xiamen, benefiting from its free trade zone, BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center, and e-commerce pilot zone, has built an integrated service system for customs, logistics, finance, and compliance, making it a national leader in terms of its cross-border e-commerce business environment.

The Xiamen Free Trade Zone and Xiamen Customs have integrated airport, seaport, and customs supervision — a first in China — allowing goods to move directly from clearance to shipment and greatly boosting efficiency.
Export logistics have been digitized via the International Trade Single Window, enabling real-time data sharing. This cuts processing time per shipment by over one hour and lifts overall efficiency by 20 percent. The zone has also built a 9610 tax-exempt system with the city's commerce bureau to help e-commerce sellers meet the necessary compliance requirements.
Meanwhile, innovative models such as "inspect before loading", multi-trade combined exports, and direct returns to Taiwan have been rolled out, further improving the e-commerce business environment.
A cross-district return model now makes local companies return goods without proof of tax-exemption, offering more flexible and economical options.
