According to the notice from the Canadian consulate general in Guangzhou, the consulate general has approved the acceptance of business visa (temporary resident visit) applications submitted by the Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Xiamen Municipal Government. Applications will be accepted during work day (Mon-Fri) mornings.
The new policy will improve the efficiency of the handling of applications for Xiamen business visits to Canada, since applications for official business visas in the country were previously required to be submitted to the Chinese embassy in Canada through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the Xiamen exit-entry administration bureau, the Canadian consulate general in Guangzhou will accept the application of individual (private) visas within the next few days.
