The newly-appointed consul-general of the Hellenic Republic in Guangzhou, Grigorios Tassiopoulos, visited Xiamen, Fujian on April 1.
Grigorios said he’s impressed with beautiful Xiamen. He expressed the hope that Greece and Xiamen will enhance communication in economy and tourism. For example, each could invite the other’s runners for marathons.
Xiamen’s vice-mayor agreed with Grigorios’ suggestions to strengthen cooperation with Greece on navigation, tourism and trade.
On the same day, the Consulate General of the Hellenic Republic in Guangzhou organized activities at the Paragon Center to introduce Greece’s culture, wine and food.
China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
