The Dynamic Macao promotional campaign will attend the China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) in Xiamen in September.
Macao will be the Guest Region of Honor at the fair and will be assigned a 6,000-square-meter exhibition space to house the Dynamic Macao.
Its attendance at CIFIT will be the 23rd time since 2009 that the promotional event has been held in cities on the Chinese mainland. The serial event aims to showcase Macao’s global image and introduce the city’s economic development, trading ties with Portuguese-speaking countries, cultural and hospitality industries and tourism attractions.
Sponsored by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, Dynamic Macao is committed to helping small and medium-sized companies gain access to the mainland market. More than 120 companies from Macao are expected to put 1,000 specialty products on display, ranging from coffee, wine and souvenirs, to household products and art works.
Product exhibitions and promotional events will be staged at Xiamen’s busy commercial blocks to publicize the Dynamic Macao event. Art performances, souvenir making and food sampling activities will be available four days prior to the official launch of the 2016 CIFIT on September 8.
Dynamic Macao will host a string of networking events to increase cooperative opportunities between Macao businesses in the tourism, leisure and other sectors. The events will put a particular emphasis on youth entrepreneurship and innovative star-ups.
One matching event will pair businesses in Fujian, Macao and Portuguese speaking countries to promote economic ties.
Portuguese folk dances, Chinese lion dances, magic shows and prize draws will be held regularly during the fair to give visitors a taste of Macao’s diverse culture.
