At the Xiamen University, Alounkeo held talks with Lao students and learned about their study and living experiences in Xiamen. He spoke highly of the outstanding education resources, beautiful environment on the campus and logistical support the university offers. He also encouraged Lao students to study hard and make contribution to the exchanges and cooperation between China and Laos in the future.
During their visit to the Gulangyu Island, which is listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, the delegates were impressed by the ecological environment and architectural style on the island and said they will help promote tourism in Xiamen among their friends.

China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
China and Georgia are set to waive visa requirements for travelers starting May 28.
