A delegation of 12 leaders from Latin America's peace organizations and security thinktanks visited Xiamen, Fujian province from Sept 16 to 17.
Lin Na, deputy inspector of the Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Xiamen Municipal Government, briefed them on the latest achievements made by the Chinese city.
The foreign guests were impressed by Xiamen's afforestation, advanced service industry, humanized urban planning and local residents' hospitality.
During the two-day trip, they also visited the Xiamen Software Park and Taiwan-invested Chang Hang Software Co.
Members of the delegation came from Cuba, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, and Dominica.
China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
China and Georgia are set to waive visa requirements for travelers starting May 28.
