Wojciech Zajaczkowski, ambassador of Poland to China, visited Xiamen, Fujian province from Jan 10 to 11.
Han Jingyi, deputy mayor of the Chinese city, met the ambassador on Jan 10.
Han briefed Zajaczkowski on the achievements Xiamen has made in economic and social development over the past four decades of China's reform and opening-up.
He stressed the city's cooperation with the Central European country via China-Europe trains.
Zajaczkowski said that Poland is improving infrastracture along the borders to better serve the railway connection.
He expects to further cooperate with Xiamen in logistics, customs, higher education and sister-city exchanges in the near future.
During his stay in Xiamen, the ambassador also visited Gulangyu Island and Naputuo Temple, two renowned local scenic spots to gain more knowledge about the Chinese city's culture and history.
China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
China and Georgia are set to waive visa requirements for travelers starting May 28.
