Xiamen Command Headquarters Office on COVID-19 Response
To strengthen the health management of Xiamen-bound travelers from countries or regions outside the Chinese mainland (including international passengers who arrive in Xiamen from other Chinese cities) and guard against cross-border transmission of COVID-19, Xiamen will take the following measures as further response to the pandemic:
I. All overseas arrivals should register on the “ixm0592” WeChat account prior to their arrival. All information submitted must be truthful and complete.
II. Upon arrival, all inbound overseas travelers should be cooperative in body temperature screening, customs inspection, nucleic acid testing, and inquiries about epidemiological history and others as requested by the customs, border inspection, airport, civil aviation administration, (high speed) railway stations, bus terminus, ports and other authorities. Please comply with subsequent arrangement, including transferring, hospitalization, or quarantine at designated facilities.
III. Those who have the following behaviors will be held accountable pursuant to relevant laws and regulations:
-- untruthful about health situation;
-- intentionally concealing or falsely declaring contact history with confirmed cases or travel history abroad or to China's Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao regions;
-- refusing temperature monitoring or medical examinations;
-- evading collective quarantine or medical treatment;
-- failing to abide by relevant quarantine regulations; or
-- engaging in other activities that disrupt the epidemic prevention and control.
China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
China and Georgia are set to waive visa requirements for travelers starting May 28.
