A Russia-China investment and cooperation forum, a parallel event of the 21st China International Fair for Investment and Trade, was held in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province on Sept 8.
The forum was hosted by the Foreign Affairs Office of Xiamen (XMFAO) and Russia's trade representative office in China, with more than 80 business representatives taking part on site and over 140,000 participants attending online.
Representatives from regional trade organizations, as well as Chinese and Russian companies, such as VTB Bank, Great Wall Motors, and Vanke China-Russia Industrial Park, held discussions on investment, finance and trade.

Russia's trade representative office in China has played a crucial role in promoting economic and trade communication between the two countries.
The forum is part of the joint efforts made by the office and the Xiamen government to push forward the construction of the innovation base for the BRICS partnership on new industrial revolution in the city.
Alexey Dakhnovskiy, trade representative of the Russian Federation in China, praised XMFAO's considerate organization of the forum and expressed hopes to deepen cooperation with Xiamen.

China and Georgia are set to waive visa requirements for travelers starting May 28.
