A launch ceremony for the 2022 China (Fujian) – the Republic of Korea (ROK) online art performance was held in Xiamen, Fujian province on July 28, attracting nearly 80 representatives from performance-related units and media.
The goal of the online art performance, which is hosted by Xiamen and performed by sister cities and friendly exchange cities like Quanzhou and Nanping in China, South Jeolla province, Jeju Special Self-Governing province, and Busan in ROK, is to increase cultural exchanges and mutual learning between the two countries while fostering people-to-people ties as this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and ROK.
The online art performance includes four chapters, which are "A long history", "Cultural inheritance", "Song of youth" and "Dream building together", which bring together characteristic Chinese and ROK traditional cultural programs such as classical poetry recitation, featured intangible cultural heritage performances, traditional and modern integrated singing and dancing performances.
The online art performance will be broadcast on July 30 on Xiamen Star TV, News CCTV, and other media platforms, such as Douyin.
