Xiamen Party chief meets with TVG guests
The 1st Trilateral Visionary Group, or TVG meeting was held in the city of Xiamen, in East China's Fujian province on April 2-3.
The TVG meeting was co-hosted by the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat, the China Public Diplomacy Association, the Nakasone Peace Institute and the Korea Foundation.
Cui Yonghui, Party secretary of the CPC Xiamen Municipal Committee, met with TVG delegates on April 2.
He extended a warm welcome and gave an introduction on Xiamen's economic and social developments and foreign exchanges and cooperation. Cui noted that Xiamen had close economic and trade cooperation and frequent cultural exchanges with the Republic of Korea (ROK) and Japan.
He called on relevant institutions in China, Japan and the ROK would take the TVG as an opportunity. In so doing, they could continue to support Xiamen's foreign exchange and communications work, introduce more high-quality international resources, as well as jointly promote pragmatic cooperation between Xiamen and the two countries in areas such as commerce, culture and youth exchanges.
