US delegation from Oregon state seeks ties with Xiamen
A delegation from the US state of Oregon visited the coastal city of Xiamen in East China's Fujian province from July 1 to 2, seeking cooperation opportunities in a raft of fields.
The delegation was invited to Fujian to attend the Bond with Kuliang: 2023 China-US People-to-People Friendship Forum.
Zhang Quan, director general of the Xiamen Foreign Affairs Office, briefed the delegation on the city's achievements in its development and high-level opening-up.
He also invited Oregon to participate in major international events held in Xiamen, such as the China International Fair for Investment and Trade, the Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, as well as the Xiamen International Fashion Week.
The delegation also visited a local company involved in modern urban farming, where its members discussed possible ways to cooperate in agricultural technology research, innovation, marketing and seedling supplies.
The visitors also went to the Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District in Xiamen.
