Xiamen, Marubeni Corp discuss cooperation
The head of the Xiamen Foreign Affairs Office met with Kawakami Hiroshi, deputy chief representative of Marubeni Corporation China on July 11.
Xiamen Foreign Affairs Office Director General Zhang Quan welcomed Kawakami and thanked Marubeni for supporting his city's development.
He said China would continue to open up and provide new opportunities for the world with its development. Zhang added that Xiamen would support Japanese businesses in their bid to invest and do business with China.
Zhang also introduced Xiamen's achievements in its development, industry and the economy. He encouraged Marubeni to seize the opportunity of Xiamen's role as a node city in the new development pattern, deepen its supply chain, explore third-party market cooperation and share the development dividends of China, Fujian and Xiamen.
For his part, Kawakami said that Marubeni had confidence in Xiamen's market potential and business prospects. He hoped to strengthen communications and understanding with Xiamen and to seek common development.
