Celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of sister-city relationship between Xiamen and Guadalajara, Mexico were held in Guadalajara from Nov 24 to 25.
During the celebrations, the inaugural Chinese Culture Exhibition Tour in Latin America, Fujian province's intangible cultural heritage puppet show and book donations initiated by the Ministry of Commerce and five other departments showcased Xiamen's development and character to the citizens of Guadalajara.
Xiamen established sister-city relations with Guadalajara in 2003. Over the past 20 years, the two cities have constantly cooperated in areas such as education, culture, trade, and investment. Both sides hope to use this 20th anniversary an opportunity to carry out more exchanges in the fields of humanistic communication and ecological civilization development.
