Xiamen Party chief visits Brazil, UAE, Indonesia
Cui Yonghui, secretary of the CPC Xiamen Municipal Committee, led a delegation to Brazil, the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia from April 14 to 23.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen cultural exchanges with the three countries at the sub-national level and to deepen practical cooperation within the framework of BRICS and Maritime Silk Road.
The delegation also wanted to promote investment and trade partnerships and showcase Xiamen's opening-up to the outside world.
During the visit, the delegation engaged in friendly exchanges with a raft of interested parties and visited multinational companies. It met with diplomatic missions in the three countries and engaged in project promotions, leading to a series of cooperation agreements and achieving other great results.
Cui emphasized that Xiamen was one of the gateways for China's reform and opening-up process. He expressed the city's willingness to strengthen cooperation with countries from around the world, share new opportunities for development and create a new chapter of mutually beneficial and win-win outcomes.
