Turkish student delegation visits Xiamen
From August 21st to 23rd, a Turkish delegation consisting of eight university students visited Xiamen to enhance cultural and youth exchanges and cooperation between China and Turkiye.
Coming from prestigious universities in Turkiye such as Istanbul University, the Turkish students visited Xiamen University, where they engaged in discussions with scholars and students from the Belt and Road Research Institute to understand the cooperation between China and Turkiye under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
They also visited the Xiamen Special Economic Zone Memorial Hall and other places to experience the achievements of Xiamen in reform and opening-up and its innovative development. They also learned about Xiamen's practices in ecological civilization and the preservation of world cultural heritage by visiting Wuyuan Bay and Gulangyu Island.
Zeng Jinji, deputy director general of the Foreign Affairs Office of Xiamen Municipal People's Government, met with the delegation on August 22nd.
Zeng expressed the hope that through the visit, the delegation members would deepen their understanding of China, gain more knowledge about China's great achievements in reform and opening-up, better understand Chinese modernization, and actively engage in cultural exchanges between China and Turkiye in the future.
