Xiamen mayor meets Brazilian guests
On Oct 13, Wu Bin, mayor of Xiamen in Southeast China's Fujian province, met with a Brazilian delegation led by Rafael Tajra Fonteles, governor of Piaui State.
Wu extended a warm welcome to Fonteles and briefed the delegation on the economic and social development of Xiamen.
He highlighted the fruitful cooperation between Xiamen and Piaui State in recent years, saying there remains vast potential for future collaboration between the two sides.
Wu expressed hope that both sides would fully implement the important consensuses reached by the leaders of both countries, deepen BRICS innovation cooperation, enhance project alignment, expand economic, trade and cultural exchanges, and strengthen cooperation to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Brazil.
Fonteles expressed a desire to leverage this visit to strengthen ties with Xiamen and further deepen cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, education and culture.
