Anhui Medical University hosted the 2026 Summer Camp for Outstanding Undergraduates from July to August, attracting over 760 applicants nationwide. After a rigorous selection process, 365 students were admitted to the program.

This summer camp serves as a vital platform for graduate recruitment and showcases the university's academic excellence and unique educational approach.

Participants hailed from prestigious institutions involved in the Double First-Class Initiative, such as Fudan University, Northwest University, and Nanjing Medical University, as well as renowned medical schools such as Wenzhou Medical University and Harbin Medical University. Notably, over 100 students came from outside Anhui province, around 27 percent of attendees, highlighting the university's influence in graduate education across China.

The summer camp featured a diverse and engaging schedule. Various academic activities were organized during the event. Leading scholars and mentors delivered lectures and forums, discussing research directions, faculty strengths, and career prospects, while also addressing cutting-edge developments and research methodologies. Additionally, face-to-face sessions with current graduate students provided practical advice on exam preparation and the initiation of research.

Participants toured key facilities, including laboratories and the library, in the new campus. Some even visited the Anhui Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention to learn about advanced public health research equipment.

The camp concluded with great success, with participants expressing appreciation for the enriching experience and reaffirming their commitment to the medical field.
