A delegation led by Zhang Ruobing, vice-president for academic affairs of Anhui Medical University, visited Harvard Medical School on August 15 for academic exchanges.

The event was co-organized by the Harvard Medical School Chinese Scholars and Scientists Association (HMSCSSA), attracting numerous Chinese scholars, postdoctoral fellows, and PhD students from Harvard and nearby institutions. In addition, scholars from other universities and research institutions in North America participated online.

During the presentation, Zhang provided a comprehensive overview of the country and Anhui province, AMU's history, its academic disciplines, research platforms, and recent policies and achievements in talent recruitment and development.

He emphasized that Anhui is advancing its technological innovation strategy to contribute to Chinese modernization.

Noting that AMU is at a pivotal stage in its involvement in the Double First-Class Initiative for high-quality development, Zhang said that the university eagerly seeks outstanding medical talent worldwide to join and collaborate in advancing the university's academic and medical innovation.

Zhang engaged in in-depth discussions with attendees on career development, team building, and children's education. Participants expressed a deeper understanding of AMU and looked forward to future collaboration opportunities.

This visit was a significant part of AMU's 2026 overseas talent recruitment efforts, crucial for broadening channels for recruiting international talent and enhancing the university's global influence.
