Established in 1993, Yizhuang Branch of Beijing Jianhua Experimental School is a full-time, private boarding school and the first school promoting life-centered education. The school provides kindergarten, primary, junior high, and senior high school education to more than 2,800 students; teachers with master and doctoral degrees account for 75 percent of primary and secondary school teachers, and teachers with doctoral degree account for 35 percent of its secondary school teachers. 

In September 2019, the primary school started operation, to be followed by the secondary school a year later.
