Beijing E-Town strives for convenient government affairs services for companies
The Government Affairs Service Center of the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA) has established its first intelligent government affairs service station providing enterprises with 24-hour self-service.
This move makes government affairs comprehensive services available for companies at the Beijing E-Town's enterprise service hubs, thanks to a smart service platform and self-service terminals based on 5G and big data technology.
Companies using the E-Town enterprise service hubs are able to get remote consulting and assistance, conduct policy inquiries and declarations, and finish material transfers. They can conduct all procedures with the facilities without the need to go to handle them on site.
The new devices are first used in Hall A, Jiajie Science Park of Yongkang enterprise service hub in Beijing E-Town.
By using the remote interactive system of the facility, companies can make video connections with government service personnel to review application materials, and handle all procedures such as materials verification.
They are also able to fill in and submit the application materials online with the facility's self-service system, and then put paper materials in a smart transfer cabinet if needed, saving them from submitting paper materials on site.
When the approval process is completed, the Beijing E-Town government affairs service center will mail the results to the applicant companies by express delivery for free.
Since the beginning of the year, the Beijing E-Town government affairs service center has been better streamlining administration, delegating more powers to lower-level government, and optimizing its services. Focused on those services, the center has launched a series of innovative measures to benefit enterprises and the people.
"Providing convenient government affairs services for companies at the enterprise service hubs is an important measure the Beijing E-Town government affairs service center has taken to optimize the business environment," said a person in charge of the government service center.
The smart service platform built at the Yongkang enterprise service hub has a consulting remote interactive system, a self-service system, and a smart query system, and they help companies conduct all government affairs services.
The self-service terminals are able to respond to 24-hour queries about policies, medical insurance and social insurance, rights records, and traffic violations, and provide self-service for water, electricity, gas, and heat installation applications and fees payment. In addition, officials from the Beijing E-Town government affairs service center help companies with in-depth policy interpretation, consultation, and application materials verify them on site every Tuesday. The center also hires and trains volunteers and service specialists to assist companies in handling government affairs.
As the Beijing E-Town government strives to make the government affairs services available in an easier and more convenient way, a smart platform will be established and the government service level will be improved.
More efforts will be made to reduce the time spent by companies on government affairs, with the business environment continuing to be optimized to ensure their high quality development.
