Over 20 foreign funded projects to settle in E-town
Over 20 foreign funded projects will settle in the Beijing E-town Economic and Technological Area, bringing total investment of $16 billion. They include headquarters of foreign funded enterprises, scientific, technological and culture projects of the Belt and Road Initiative, high-end projects and international cooperation platforms.
The China (Beijing) Free Trade Pilot Zone High-end Area opened in Beijing E-town Economic and Technological Area on Set 28, 2020, covering 27.83 square kilometers. As an important part of the implementation of “Two Zones” construction in Beijing, more than 40 projects settled in Beijing E-town since September 2020.
One of the expected arrivals is SMC, a Fortune 500 manufacturer, processor and seller of automatic control equipment. It plans to set its China headquarters in Beijing E-town to take charge of investment, manufacturing, R&D and sales management. Not only that, SMC has already established three factories and an R&D center in China.
Beijing E-town Economic and Technological Area has introduced 145 policies about the "Two Zones" construction. Seven policies are about space resources guarantees and upgrades that will increase convenience for enterprises. Ample space, 44 important parks and buildings and over 900 storing projects have been prepared for that use. Six policies are about the financial services that BDA has launched in the China (Beijing) Free Trade Pilot Zone High-end Area to support enterprise development.
