BAIC's new energy vehicles are implanted in Hongmeng

Huawei recently released its new terminal system-HongmengOS (operating system), and the Polar Fox Alpha S Huawei HI will be the first smart car to be equipped with it.

The sixth floor of the China Blue Valley in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) is the "trench" of the Huawei HI version project team of Polar Fox Alpha S. 

As early as the beginning of 2019 BAIC and Huawei signed a comprehensive business cooperation agreement and jointly established the "1873 Davidson Innovation Laboratory" to develop the next generation of intelligent networked electric vehicle technology. 

Three years of hard work achieved fruitful results. During the Shanghai International Auto Show, Polar Fox Alpha S Huawei's HI version was unveiled and stunned onlookers with its appearance. On May 26, the verification prototype of the production line of the Polar Fox Alpha S Huawei HI version was off the assembly line.

Unmanned delivery vehicles go to the front line to fight the pandemic

Recently, as the COVID-19 pandemic in Guangzhou rebounded, extended epidemic prevention and control work was organized. 

Autonomous driving companies cultivated in the BDA now rely on the advantages of unmanned delivery vehicles and autonomous trucks to help prevent and control the pandemic.

Baidu Apollo deployed five models including a 500kg-load unmanned logistics and distribution unmanned vehicle, a cooked food delivery unmanned vehicle, a 1-ton-load unmanned minibus, and a shared unmanned vehicle to support the distribution of materials in the quarantine area of Liwan district.

On June 5, Pony.ai's self-driving transportation fleet finished the transportation tasks of Dongnao Street and Fang village in Liwan district and returned to Nansha city in Guangdong province, which attracted another wave of attention to  pandemic control. 

Large self-driving trucks and smart and flexible self-driving passenger cars can efficiently cooperate to safely meet transportation needs.

New energy vehicles move towards carbon emission reduction

On June 3, the BDA's China Automotive Data Co., Ltd. and Zhonghuan United (Beijing) Certification Center Co., Ltd. affiliated to the Environmental Development Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment reached an agreement on Strategic cooperation. 

The two parties will jointly develop China's carbon emission reduction projects related to new energy vehicle travel.

In this cooperation, the two parties will unite industry enterprises to develop an authoritative accounting method for emission reductions of new energy vehicles, and promote formation of internationally and domestically recognized standards. 

Their goal is to form a complete emission reduction certification and trading system and to explore new energy vehicle travel emission reductions as a way to achieve corporate carbon neutrality, explore new value points of new energy vehicles, and promote green and low-carbon development of new energy vehicles.
