The 2021 International Display Technology Conference opened in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) on May 31, bringing together top technical experts in the display field, including over a thousand well-known scientists and corporate elites from home and abroad to share their most advanced technological ideas and future visions.

Facing new opportunities, the BDA, which is a highland for the development of a new generation in the information technology industry, has successfully built a display industry cluster led by BOE in recent years, as well as platform carriers such as ultra-high-definition television technology research and application laboratories, establishing an entire industry chain from research and development to completed machines to digital content and creating a display industry economy with global influence.

The conference has been held four times in China before, which has greatly promoted the development of the display industry. 

It is sponsored by the Beijing, Taipei and Hong Kong Branch of the Society for International Information Display (SID), the Strategic Advanced Electronic Materials General Expert Group of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Fuzhou University. It is co-organized by BOE and SID China.

The meeting this year invites over 460 technical seminar report experts. 

Compared with previous ones, this conference offered new developments and progress, such as a "New Display and Strategic Electronic Materials" seminar, an onboard display and intelligent lighting forum, an interactive rich media technology and industry forum and a MicroLED and laser display key technology route seminar.

From May 30 to June 2, keynote reports brought by eight masters in the display industry, including two academicians, 56 technical sub-forums, special technical lectures, short courses, youth leadership forums, exhibitions and other activities provided advice and suggestions for the collaboration and development of the entire industry chain.

Meanwhile, the display technology exhibition held from May 31 to June 2 had five special areas and five major events involving dozens of exhibitors like BOE, Chiponeic and other display companies in the region, bringing to light emerging products and display technologies.
