Deloitte-Beijing programs offer precise support for high-growth SMEs
To discover and select more high-tech enterprises with core competitiveness and rapid growth potential, and to enhance their brand influence and internationalization, the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA) launched the 2021 Deloitte-Beijing E-town Technology Fast 20 Program and the Deloitte-Beijing E-town Rising Star program.
Both programs accept applicants based in the 225-square-kilometer area surrounding Beijing E-Town.
The registration period for the selection process runs from June 30, 2021 to July 25, 2021.
Participating companies must register, pay taxes and be integrated in the Beijing E-Town area and have been in business for at least three years.
In addition, these enterprise must be high-tech ones with independent intellectual property rights and a fixed amount of R&D investment each year.
During the application process, the audit report and other related materials must be provided for the last three consecutive years (2018, 2019 and 2020).
The operating income of the top 20 companies must be greater than or equal to 1 million yuan ($154,000) in the first year (2018).
As one of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 China Program's subprojects, the Deloitte-Beijing E-town Technology Fast 20 Program aims to identify and commend the rapid growth and continuous innovation of outstanding enterprises in the BDA.
In addition, the Deloitte-Beijing E-town Rising Star intends to commend early-stage companies that have a leading position in their industry and have great growth potential. It is a sister project of the Deloitte-Beijing E-town Technology Fast 20 Program and is held simultaneously.
According to statistics, since the launch of the selection activity in 2013, a total of 108 companies have been shortlisted for the Fast 20 Program, and 67 companies have been shortlisted for the Rising Star program.
During the selection process, Deloitte classified E-Town high-tech growth enterprises into three categories, namely, talent-driven, technology-driven and capital-driven.
After being analyzed from the three dimensions of corporate leaders, corporate internal changes and external corporate opportunities, development suggestions and action guidelines will be given for improving flexible leadership, promoting digital transformation and grasping capital market opportunities.
In recent years, the BDA has launched a series of policies and measures to provide precise support in terms of corporate service mechanisms, targeted talent introduction, special funds and subsidies. It has helped many high-tech small and medium-sized enterprises in the area to tide over difficulties.
