2021 World 5G Conference set to open in BDA
The World 5G Conference, which has been held successfully for two sessions, is the world's first international event in the 5G field, attracting wide attention and participation from people of all walks of life. It has increasingly become an important communication platform to promote the development of the global 5G industry and innovation in application scenarios.
Focusing on key areas such as the industry, economy and innovation, the 2021 World 5G Conference aims to build a bridge for 5G international exchanges, cooperation and industrial chain collaborative innovation. It is also a 5G display and promotion platform, to comprehensively demonstrate innovation of 5G original technology and its application results.
Currently, Beijing is accelerating the development of an international science and technology innovation center, promoting the construction of new infrastructure, and building a high-end economic framework.
The World 5G Conference will boost Beijing's construction of high-end 5G technology and industrial clusters, creating the world's largest 5G test field.
In addition to the opening and closing ceremonies, there will be a series of forums. Aside from the main forums, there will be 11 thematic forums covering 3 major sections. These will outline the implementation of 5G in the consumer market, interpreting the collaboration between the hot vertical industry and the communications industry.
The exhibitions held at the same time will fully present the technological progress and product innovation of the entire 5G industry chain, as well as its application cases across various industries.
In the four exhibition areas totalling 20,000 square meters, visitors can not only see the scenario-based and physical display of typical 5G applications, but they can also experience living in an extraordinary new space created using 5G.
The organizing committee of the conference have stressed their hopes that the "2021 5G Application Design Competition" will continue to encourage 5G innovative application design, while further promoting 5G applications from fragmented demonstration pilots to large-scale applications. They also seek to promote the in-depth integration of 5G and vertical industries.
According to GSA data from the Global Mobile Communications Suppliers Association, as of April 2021, 162 operators in 68 countries and regions around the world have provided 5G commercial services, with 756 5G terminals, including 387 smart phones and 135 fixed wireless access points.
