BDA aims for 380 billion yuan GDP by 2025
The first press conference on the outlook of the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25) for Beijing E-Town Innovation Release, hosted by the Publicity and Culture Department of the Party Working Committee of the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area (BDA), took place in the BDA on July 8.

According to the scheme, by 2025, the BDA's GDP will exceed 380 billion yuan ($58.71 billion), with its total industrial output value surpassing 800 billion yuan.
Six 100-billion-level innovative industrial clusters will be built, as the scale of the actual utilization of foreign capital exceeds $2 billion, and the average annual growth rate of operating income of the digital economy reaches 15 percent.

The BDA will be built into a leading area in the global digital economy.
The BDA will strive to achieve the seven "news", namely: new results in economic development, new steps in reform and opening up, new progress in urban construction, new improvements in social and ecological civilization, new achievements in people's livelihood and well-being, and the efficiency of governance, noted the BDA's Economic Development Bureau.
Furthermore, the BDA will strengthen its advantages in integrated circuit manufacturing and equipment, promote the construction of its information technology innovation application park, and start developing the 2.0 networked cloud-control high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone.
The BDA will also continue to build its intellectual property protection sub-center, accelerate the construction of international cooperation parks, attract more overseas talents and institutions, and ensure that the average annual growth rate of international talent apartments surpasses 50 percent.
